More about Speedmaster Day Date Black Dial SS / SS

This is a stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Day Date, 3220.50. It has a stainless steel Omega link bracelet with a double deployant clasp, and a domed anti-reflective scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It has a solid screw-down case back with the Speedmaster logo in deep relief. The 39mm diameter solid three-body case, lyre lugs, and fixed black ion-plated bezel with Tachymeter graduations to 500 UPH, are polished/brushed. It has a black dial with luminous steel baton hands, a center sweep date hand with a luminous arrow tip, and applied steel dart/baton hour markers. There are white Minute/one-fifth seconds markers around the outer rim, and a date scale outside of that. There is a subsidiary dial at the 12 o'clock position with combined 30-minute chronograph totalizer, and aperture windows for the day and month. A 24-hour with a constant seconds sub dial is at 9 o'clock, and there is a 12-hour register at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and there is a 44-hour power reserve at full wind. The 15.4mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Omega Speedmaster Day Date, reference 3220.50, has a mechanical automatic self-winding Omega caliber 3606 movement that's rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a monometallic balance, and a self-compensating flat balance-spring.
