This is an 18k yellow gold Cartier Tank Louis 1974. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k yellow gold double deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a push/pull winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon, and four screws in the band that secure the brushed solid case back engraved with "Cartier – Paris," and a serial number. The 23.5mm by 30.5mm solid two body case, integral straight lug bars, and tonneau-shaped rounded art deco bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is white with painted black Roman numeral hour markers, blued epee hands, and an inner rectangular railway-style minute track. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 5.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Cartier Tank Louis 1974 has a mechanical manual winding Cartier caliber 2512 (Frederick Piguet caliber 96) movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, an index regulator, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The Cartier Tank Louis 1974 was introduced in the 1960's.
