It includes an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel double folding deployment buckle with a rectangular gold inset, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. It has a screw down octagonal winding crown with crown guards and a faceted spinel, and there is a solid screw down case back secured with 8 screws and it's engraved with "SANTOS 100 – CARTIER – AUTOMATIC – WATER RESISTANT 100M 330FT – SWISS MADE." The dial is opaline white with black Roman numeral hour markers with the Cartier secret signature at the VII, surrounded by a black perimeter railway-style minute/chronograph second scale. There is a date aperture window between 4 and 5 o'clock, and it has three recessed white subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals, markers, railway-style scales and black oxidized indicator hands, including a small constant running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph counter at the 3 o'clock position. It has black oxidized Cartier sword minute and hour hands, and there is a black center sweep second hand. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, it has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 10.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The Cartier Santos 100 Chronograph XL W20091X7 has a mechanical automatic Cartier caliber 8630 MC (based on the Valjoux caliber 7753) column wheel chronograph movement. It's rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 27 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber device. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds device for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).
