More about Datejust Steel Diamond Dial
This is a stainless steel and 18k white gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 16234. It has an integral Rolex stainless steel jubilee link bracelet, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw-down winding crown, and a solid screw-down case back with a brushed circle and a polished perimeter. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, bracelet, and fluted 18k white gold bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is silver with diamond hour markers, and faceted white gold baton hands with luminous inserts. It has a white gold center sweep second hand, and a perimeter white minute/second scale. There is a quick set date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, underneath a Cyclops magnifying lens in the crystal. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it has a 48-hour power reserve at full wind. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 16234 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3135 movement that's rhodium-plated with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It has a self-winding bidirectional perpetual rotor. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, and a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring. It has Microstella regulating screws, a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting, and the oscillator has a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 16234 was introduced in 1988.
