This is a vintage c.1972 18K yellow gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 6827. It has an integral 3-link 18K Yellow Gold Oyster Bracelet, a scratch resistant sapphire lens, and a solid screw-down case back and winding crown. The midsize 31mm diameter solid three-body case, bracelet, and fluted bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is champagne with applied gold baton hour index markers with luminescent dots, and with an outermost minute/seconds track. It has gold baton hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep seconds hand. There is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position underneath a Cyclops magnifying bubble. It includes the Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC) rating. It's water resistant and the 11mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 2030 T movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 28 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a Gyromax monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, a self-compensating free-sprung flat balance-spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism.
