With the ever expanding popularity of rose gold in the watch industry, rose has made its way into the sports category with great success. Some of the best sports watches on the modern market combine both sporty design elements, and the subtle elegance of rose gold. Today, we are taking a look at some of our favorite rose gold sports watches at European Watch Company.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ref. 4300V/120R-B642

Vacheron-Constantin-Overseas-Perpetual-Calendar-Ultra-Thin-Skeleton-4300V_120R-B642

Price: $130,000-$140,000, Case Size: 41.5mm, Thickness: 8.5mm, Lug-to-Lug: N/A, Lug Width: N/A, Water Resistance: 50M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold

First up is perhaps the most modern watch that Vacheron Constantin has produced in quite a while. Built on the famous Overseas platform, the 4300V adds a perpetual calendar complication, and most surprisingly, a skeletonized dial. The harmonious dissonance between the buttoned up Vacheron Constantin reputation, and this more playful, sporty, modernist interpretation makes this watch one of the most interesting and striking on the market.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton Ref. 103667

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8-Day 18K Rose Gold

Price: $38,000-$42,000, Case Size: 40mm, Thickness: 5.95mm, Lug-to-Lug: 49.2mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Water Resistance: 30M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold

If you love rose gold watches with skeletonized dials, Bulgari has a fantastic alternative to consider. The Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8-Day is extremely simple with its time only display, but don’t be fooled— it measures a mere 5.95mm thick and packs an incredible 8-day power reserve. Comfortable on the wrist and striking with its slim profile and surprising solidity, this piece is one of the coolest in the Octo Finissimo collection, and few have ever seen it ever before!

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712R-001

Price: $85,000-$90,000, Case Size: 43mm x 48mm, Thickness: 8.5mm, Lug-to-Lug: N/A, Lug Width: N/A, Water Resistance: 60M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold

Sticking with integrated strap/ bracelet designs from the best in the industry, next up is the Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 5712R-001. Always the more whimsical alternative to the 5711, the 5712 incorporates a power reserve, subsidiary seconds, date, and moonphase in addition to the time display. Powered by Patek’s legendary caliber 240, this piece walks the line between a refined, leather-strap-donning watch and its sportier identity as a Nautilus with some serious technical spec. This combination works really really well.

Rolex Daytona “Rainbow” Ref. 116595RBOW

Price: $450,000-$500,000, Case Size: 40mm, Thickness: 12.5mm, Lug-to-Lug: 47mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Water Resistance: 100M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold

No rose gold sports watch conversation is even close to complete without mention of the legendary Rolex Rainbow Daytona. Set with 36 baguette-cut sapphires and diamonds along the lugs, the full rose gold watch has a significant wrist presence and makes a statement unlike any other watch. Offered exclusively to the most dedicated VIP Rolex customers, it’s not common to encounter one of these pieces, but it is undoubtedly the most well known rose gold sports watch on the market.

Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown

Laurent Ferrier Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown

Price: $70,000-$80,000, Case Size: 41mm, Thickness: 12.5mm, Lug-to-Lug: 47mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Water Resistance: 30M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Manual Winding, Material: Rose Gold

This next piece, while not a pure sports watch, has a sporty appeal to it with its sizing, proportionality, and wrist presence. A brand and model I have always respected, Laurent Ferrier did a brilliant job with this watch, crafting a watch that on the surface looks like a very basic watch. Flipping the piece over, you are met with the rest of the story— a ‘double spiral’ double hairspring tourbillon. This technology lets the tourbillon stay centered on its axis. This is a brilliant watch both on the movement side, and the purely aesthetic.

 Girard Perregaux Laureato Ref. 81005-52-432-52A

Price: $30,000-$35,000, Case Size: 38mm, Thickness: 10mm, Lug-to-Lug: N/A, Lug Width: N/A, Water Resistance: 100M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold

If you love the rose gold integrated bracelet sports watch aesthetic, but want a more accessible alternative to the Patek and Vacheron heavy hitters, I’d recommend the Girard Perregaux Laureato. Sized better than many sports watches at a comfortable 38mm in rose gold, this piece has many of the details we love on watches of this kind— namely, the integrated bracelet, geometric bezel, blue waffle dial, and more. This piece is a wonderful way to access the aesthetic that has defined the start of the 21st century of watchmaking.

Panerai Radiomir 3 Day GMT Ref. PAM00421

Price: $11,000-$12,000, Case Size: 46.5mm, Thickness: 14.8mm, Lug-to-Lug: 53mm, Lug Width: 24mm, Water Resistance: 100M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Automatic Winding, Material: Rose Gold

Next up is a classic Panerai design, the Radiomir. This particular example is executed in rose gold and comes equipped with a 3 day power reserve and GMT function. If you love the Panerai aesthetic and are looking for a precious metal cushion case sports piece, you’d be hard pressed to beat this. Just be sure it fits your wrist!

Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11

Price: $10,000-$12,000, Case Size: 42mm, Thickness: 14.5mm, Lug-to-Lug: 47mm, Lug Width: 20mm, Water Resistance: 50M, Crystal: Sapphire, Movement: Manual Winding, Material: Titanium Rose Gold

If you’re a lover of the Speedmaster but have been looking for a more exciting configuration for your collection, look no further than this limited edition Apollo 11 Speedmaster, made in only 1969 examples to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the mission which occurred in— you guessed it— 1969! This example has a titanium main case, but a rose gold bezel and dial finishes. It’s a striking piece, and looks nothing like the standard Speedmaster you are likely to see all over the place. If you like the Speedy design ethos but want to change it up, this is the piece for you!
