Blancpain Milspec 1 Fifty Fathoms Circa 1960, this watch was owned by a US Navy Dive instructor and is accompanied by an outstanding amount of provenance, the stainless steel brushed case is in very good condition with signs of wear but with original bevels still intact, 3 piece case, automatic AS caliber, dial is a very rare "high swiss" variant, original gilt dial has turned a deep chocolate "tropical" brown, radium luminous appears original to the watch, moisture indicator at 6 o clock, outer minute track, gilt Blancpain Fifty Fathoms writing, Milspec 1 in white, original bakelite bezel is in outstanding original condition with no cracks, dust cover signed by Blancpain, caseback signed "Blancpain, Milspec, Automatic, Waterproof, Antimagnetic, Shock Protected", size 41mm, thickness: 13.5mm, SN 30XX, this is by far the most "complete" provenance example of a vintage Blancpain Milspec we have seen, the watch is accompanied by over 100 photographs from different ceremonies, missions, friends and lovers of the original owner. On top of photographs there are countless US Navy metals, awards, badges, a compass and of course the US Navy decompression handbook. A very rare example to own a "complete" vintage Blancpain Milspec 1 from the early 1960s.
